கொழும்பு இந்துக் கல்லூரியின் இன்றைய பரிசளிப்பு விழாவுக்கு வருகை தந்துள்ள மேன்மை தங்கிய ஜனாதிபதியவர்களே! இப் பாட சாலையின் மாணவர்கள். ஆசிரியர்கள், பெற்றோர்கள், பழைய மாண வர்கள், பாடசாலையின் வளர்ச்சியிலும், நலனிலும் அக்கறை கொண் டுள்ள அபிமானிகள் ஆகியோர் சார்பில் உங்களை வரவேற்பதில் பெருமையும், பாக்கியமும் அடைகிறேன்.
இன்றைய இவ் வைபவத்திலே நீங்கள் எங்கள் மத்தியில் வந் திருந்து பங்குபற்றுவதைப் பெருமையாகவும், கெளரவமாகவும் கருது கிறோம். ஒரு பாடசாலையின் வருடாந்த செயற்பாடுகளில் பரிசளிப்பு விழா மிக முக்கியமானதொரு வைபவமாகும். எங்கள் கல்லூரியைப் பொறுத்தவரை இன்றைய பரிசளிப்புவிழா மகோன்னதமான முக்கி யத்துவத்தைப் பெறுகின்றது. இதன் காரணம், எங்கள் பாடசால்ை 1991ம் ஆண்டு பெப்ரவரி மாதம் 11ம் திகதி தனது நாற்பதாவது ஆண்டைப் பூர்த்தி செய்வதோடு, 1991 ம் ஆண்டு செப்டெம்பர் மாதம் 11 ம் திகதி "தேசிய பாடசாலை’ அந்தஸ்தைப் பெற்றது.
மாண்புமிகு கல்வி இராஜாங்க அமைச்சர் திருமதி ஆர். எம். புலேந்திரன் அவர்களே! உங்களை இவ் வைபவத்திற்கு மனமார வரவேற்கிறேன். நீங்கள் கல்வி இராஜாங்க அமைச்சராகப் பதவியேற்ற நாளிலிருந்து எமது பாடசாலையின் அபிவிருத்தியில் மிகுந்த அக்கறை எடுத்துள்ளீர்கள்.

கல்லூரி வரலாறு
இக் கல்லூரி முதலில் 1951ம் ஆண்டு பெப்ரவரி மாதம் 12 ம் திகதி “பிள்ளையார் பாடசாலை’ என்ற பெயரோடு, ஒர் ஆரம் பப் பாடசாலையாகத் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. சேர் ஜோன் கொத்தலா வலை அவர்களால், கொழும்பு இந்துக் கல்லூரிக்கான அடிக்கல் இரத் மலானையில் 1953 ம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் 2 ம் திகதி நாட்டப்பட்டது. ஆறாம் தரத்திற்கு மேற்பட்ட வகுப்புகள் இரத்மலானை இந்துக் கல்லூரிக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டதோடு, இக் கல்லூரி ஆரம்பப் பாடசாலை யாக இயங்கி வந்தது.
அரசு 1962 ம் ஆண்டு ஏப்பிரல் 'மாதம் 15ம் திகதி இப் இ% சாலையைப் பொறுப்பேற்று, அரசாங்கப் பாடசாலையாக அங்கீகரித் தது. முதலாவது மூன்று மாடிக் கட்டிடத்துக்கான அடிக்கல்லை 1966ம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் மாதம் 3ம் திகதி முன்னாள் செனட்டர் திரு. ரி. நீதிராஜா அவர்கள் நாட்டினார். 1967 ம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி மாதம் முதலாம் திகதி முதல் இப் பாடசாலை "பம்பலப்பிட்டி இந்துக் கனிஷ்ட பாடசாலை’ என்ற பெயருடன் தனித்து இயங்க ஆரம்பித்தது ஆறாம் தர வகுப்புகளும் இங்கேயே இயங்க ஆரம்பித்தன. முதலாவது மூன்று மாடிக் கட்டிடத்தை முன்னாள் கெளரவ கல்வி அமைச்சர் ஐ. எம். ஆர். ஈரியக்கொல்லை அவர்கள் 1967 ம் ஆண்டு நவெம்பர் மாதம் 19 ம் திகதி சம்பிரதாயபூர்வமாகத் திறந்து வைத்தார்.
இந்துக் கனிஷ்ட பாடசாலையின் முதலாவது பரிசளிப்புவிழா 1969 ம் ஆண்டு மார்ச் மாதம் 28 ம் திகதி நடைபெற்றது. இதில் முன்னாள் பிரதம மந்திரி கெளரவ திரு. டட்லி சேனாநாயக்கா அவர்கள் பிரதம அதிதியாகக் கலந்து சிறப்பித்தார், 1976 ம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி மாதம் முதலாம் திகதி க.பொ.த. உயர்தர வகுப்புகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டதுடன் "இந்துக் கல்லூரி என்ற பெயர் சூட்டப் பட்டது. மூன்றாவது மூன்று மாடிக் கட்டிடமான "வெள்ளிவிழாக் கட்டி டத்தை 1967 ம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் 31 ம் திகதி முன்னாள் கெளரவ பிரதம மந்திரி பூஜீமாவோ பண்டாரநாயக்கா அவர்கள் திறந்து வைத் தார். நான்காவது மூன்று மாடிக் கட்டிடமான ஜனாதிபதி கட்டிட த்தை 1979 ம் ஆண்டு ஜனவரி மாதம் 17 ம் திகதி முன்னாள் அதி உத்தம ஜனாதிபதி ஜே. ஆர். ஜெயவர்த்தனா அவர்கள் திறந்து வைத்தார்.

இக் கல்லூரியின் நிர்வாகக் கட்டிடத்துக்கான அடிக்கல்லைத் திரு. கே. குணரத்தினம் அவர்கள் நாட்டினார். இக் கட்டிடத்தை 1981 ம் ஆண்டு பெப்ரவரி மாதம் 6ம் திகதி அப்போது பிரதம மந்திரியாக இருந்து, தற்போது அதி உத்தம ஜனாதிபதியாக விளங்கும் திரு. ஆர். பிரேமதாசா அவர்கள் சம்பிரதாயபூர்வமாகத் திறந்து வைத்தார். பாடசாலையின் “ஆராதனை மண்டபம்’ 1983 ம் ஆண்டு ஜூலை மாதம் 11 ம் திக கி சம்பிா காயபூர்வமாகத் திறந்து வைக்கப்

கல்லூரியின் பார்வையாளர் அரங்கை அப்போது பிரதேச அபி விருத்தி இந்து சமய கலாச்சார அமைச்சராக இருந்த திரு. செ. இராசதுரை அவர்கள் 1987 ம் ஆண்டு மே மாதம் 29 ம் திகதி திறந்து வைத்தார். இந்துக் கல்லூரியின் ஆத்மீக வளர்ச்சிக்கு அடிகோலும் வித்தகவிநாயகர் ஆலயம் எழுப்பப்பட்டு, 1988 ம் ஆண்டு பெப்ரவரி மாதம் 1 ம் திகதி மகா கும்மாபிஷேகம் செய்யப்பட்டது.
ஐந்தாவது மூன்று மாடிக் கட்டிடத்தில் முதலாவது தொகுதி யான புலந்திரன் கட்டிடம் 1991ம் ஆண்டு ஜூன் மாதம் 14ம் திகதி கல்வி உயர் கல்வி அமைச்சின் இராஜாங்க அமைச்சர் திருமதி இராசமனோஹரி புலந்திரன் அவர்களால் சம்பிரதாயபூர்வமாகத் திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது.
கல்விசார் செயற்பாடுகள்:
தற்போது இக் கல்லூரியின் மாணவர் தொகை 31160 ஆகவும் ஆசிரியர் எண்ணிக்கை 107 ஆகவும் உள்ளது. இதில் வடக்குக் கிழக்குப் பிரதேசங்களிலிருந்து இடம் பெயர்ந்து வந்துள்ள மாணவர் களும், ஆசிரியர்களும் அடங்குவர்.
ஆண்டு ஆறு புலமைப்பரிசில்:
1991ம் ஆண்டு இப் பரீட்சைப் பெறுபேறுகளின்படி துரைசிங்கம் கஜன் 196 புள்ளிகளைப் பெற்று, அகில இலங்கை ரீதியில் 2ம் இடத்தையும், மேல் மாகாணத்தில் 1ம் இடத்தையும் பெற்று, பாடசாலைக்குப் பெருமையைப் பெற்றுத் தந்தமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்க தாகும். இப் பரீட்சையிலே 65 மாணவர்கள் சித்தி பெற்றமை வலி யுறுத்திக் குறிப்பிடக்கூடிய அம்சமாகும்.

க.பொ.த. (சாதாரண தரம்)
இறுதியாக வெளிவந்த 1 990ம் ஆண்டு பரீட்சையின் முடிவு களின்படி, எங்கள் கல்லூரி சிறந்த பெறுபேற்றைப் பெற்றுள்ளமை யைப் பின்வரும் தரவுகள் தெளிவாகக் காட்டுகின்றன.
பி. டீ. சந்திரராஜ், எஸ். செல்வரட்ணராஜா, எல். கெளரி காந்தன் ஆகிய மூன்று மாணவர்களும் ஏழு விசேட சித்தியைப் பெற்றனர். ஆறு மாணவர்கள் ஆறு விசேட சித்திகளையும், ஆறு மாணவர்கள் 5 விசேட சித்திகளையும் பெற்றனர். 59.5% மாணவர் கள் க.பொ.த. உயர்தர வகுப்புகளில் கல்வி கற்கத் தகுதி பெற்றனர். இப் பரீட்சை பற்றிய பெறுபேற்றுத் தரவுகள் பின்வருமாறு:-

க.பொ.த. சாதாரண தரப் பரீட்சையில் மிகத் திறமையாகச் சித்தி பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்கான விஸ்வலிங்கம் ஞாபகார்த்தப் புல மைப் பரிசில் மேற்படி சித்தி பெற்ற மாணவனுக்கு வழங்கப்படுகின்றது. பாடசாலை அபிவிருத்திச் சபையினால் ஸ்தாபிக்கப்பட்டு நிர்வகிக்கப் படும் விஸ்வலிங்கம் ஞாபகார்த்த புலமைப் பரிசில் நிதியத்திலிருந்து இப்புலமைப் பரிசில் வழங்கப்படுகிறது. இத்துடன் க.பொ.த. சாதா ரணப் பரீட்சையில் திறமையாகச் சித்தியடைந்த இரு மாணவர்களுக்கு முத்துத்தம்பிசுவாமிநாதன் முருகேசு சுவாமிநாதன் ஞாபகார்த்தப் புலமைப் பரிசிலும் வழங்கப்படுகின்றது. இப் புலமைப் பரிசில்கள் இரண் டும் திருமதி சிவநாதனால் வழங்கப்படுகின்றது. திரு. எஸ். சிவ ராஜாவினால், பொதுப் பரிசு ஒன்றும் வழங்கப்படுகின்றது.

க.பொ.த. (உயர் தரம்):
1991 ஆம் ஆண்டின் பெறுபேறுகள் இக் கல்லூரிக்குப் பெருமை தருவதாக அமைந்து, கல்வியின் தரத்தைக் காட்டுவதாக அமைகின்றது, நான்கு மாணவர்கள் பெளதீக விஞ்ஞான பாடத்துறையிலே நான்கு, அதிவிசேட சித்தி பெற்றுள்ளார்கள். இவர்களின் பெயர்களைக் குறிப், பிட வேண்டியது எனது கடமையாகும். எஸ். நிரஞ்சன், ஜே. உமா நேசன், கே. குகரட்சன், எஸ். ஷங்கர் ஆகியோரே அம் மாணவர் களாவர்.
இப் பரீட்சையின் தரவுகள் பின்வருமாறு:-

விவேகானந்த சைவ சமயப் பரீட்சை:
இப் பரீட்சைக்கு ஆண்டு 3 முதல் ஆண்டு 11 வரையிலான தரங்களைச் சேர்ந்த 655 மாணவர்கள் தோற்றினர். இவர்களது பெறுபேறுகள் பின்வருமாறு:-
175 மாணவர் A தரம் சித்தி - 30% 265 மாணவர் B தரம் சித்தி - 50%,
215 மாணவர் C தரம் சித்தி 5- 20%

கவின்கலை வகுப்புகள்:
கல்வி உயர்கல்வி அமைச்சின் கவின்கலைப் பிரிவு இப் பாடசாலை யில் ஒவ்வொரு சனிக்கிழமைகளிலும் நடத்தி வரும் சங்கீதம், நடனம், ஓவியம், நாடகம், இலக்கியநயம் ஆகிய வகுப்புகளின் மூலம் எமது மாணவர்கள் உச்ச பயனைப் பெற்று வருகின்றனர்,
எங்கள் மாணவர்களின் சிறப்புச் சாதனைகள்
1991 ம் ஆண்டு அகில இலங்கை ரீதியில் நடத்தப்பட்ட 'தமிழ் மொழித்தினப் போட்டிகளில் எங்கள் கல்லூரி சார்பாக மூன்று மாணவர்கள் பங்குபற்றினர். அம்மூவருமே முதலாம் இடத்தைப் பெற்றுத் தங்கப் பதக்கங்களைச் சுவீகரித்துக் கல்லூரிக்குப் பெருமை தேடித் தந்துள்ளனர். இவர்களின் சாதனைகளைக் குறிப்பிட வேண்டி யது எனது கடமையாகும்.
பா ஒதுதல் - இரண்டாம் பிரிவு - ச. வித்தியாசங்கர் இசை - நான்காம் பிரிவு - வி. யாதவன் பரத நாட்டியம் - நான்காம் பிரிவு - ச. குகேந்திரன்
1991 ம் ஆண்டு ஆகஸ்ட் மாதம் க.பொ.த. உயர்தரப் பரீட்சை யில், ஒவ்வொரு மாவட்டத்திலும் மிகத் திறமையாகச் சித்தியடைந்து முதல் நான்கு இடங்களைப் பெற்ற மாணாக்கரில் ஒருவராகச் செல்வன் ஜி. உமாநேசன் இம் மாவட்டத்தில் வந்துள்ளமை இங்கு, குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. இம் மாணவன் ஜனாதிபதியின் செயலகத்தில் 1992 ம் ஆண்டு பெப்ரவரி மாதம் 22 ம் திகதி சனிக்கிழமை நடை பெற்ற வைபவத்தில் பங்குபற்றினார்.
ஈழத்துத் திருநெறித் தமிழ் மன்றம் 1991 ம் ஆண்டு நடத்திய திருமுறைப் பண்ணிசைப் போட்டியிலே கீழ்ப் பிரிவில் பங்குபற்றிய) நீ. சரவணன் முதலாம் இடத்தைப் பெற்றுத் தங்கப் பதக்கத்தைச் சுவீகரித்துக் கொண்டதோடு, ச. வித்தியாசங்கர் இரண்டாம் இடத்தை யும், மே. பூரீமத்சர்மா மேற்பிரிவில் ஆறுதல் பரிசையும் பெற்று, பாடசாலைக்குப் பெருமை தேடித் தந்துள்ளனர்.

மூன்றாம் இடத்தைப் பெற்றதும், சுயாதீன தொலைக்காட்சி நிறு வனம் நடத்திய சார்க் விளையாட்டுப் பொது அறிவுப் போட்டியில் அவர் பங்குபற்றிச் சான்றிதழைப் பெற்றதும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க அம்சங்க ளாகும்.
எஸ். மது, வை. ஜெகன் ஆகிய இரு மாணவர்களும் இரசாயன நிறுவனத்தால் நடாத்தப்பட்ட புதிர் போட்டியின் எழுத்துப் பரீட்சை யில் முதல் பத்துக்குள் இடம் பெற்றுச் சான்றிதழைப் பெற்றனர்.
தமிழ் மன்றம்
இம் மன்றத்தின் முக்கியமான செயற்பாடாக வகுப்புக்களுக் கிடையில் பேச்சுப் போட்டி, கட்டுரைப் போட்டி, கவிதை, நாடகப் போட்டிகள் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்டன. றோயல் கல்லூரியின் தமிழ் மன்றம் ஒழுங்கு செய்த இடைநிலைப் பிரிவுக்கான பேச்சுப் போட்டி யில் எஸ். ஜெயப்பிரகாஷ் முதலாவது இடத்தைப் பெற்றார். இசப்பத்தான வித்தியாலய தமிழ் மன்றம் நடத்திய கொழும்பு பாட சாலைகளுக்கிடையிலான பொது அறிவுப் போட்டியில் ஜே. பிரகாஷ் முதலாம் இடத்தைப் பெற்றார். பாடசாலை ரீதியில் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப் பட்ட சார்க் நாடுகள் பற்றிய கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகளுள் ஒன்றாக இந்தியாவின் கலை கலாச்சார பாரம்பரியங்களைப் பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன. முத்தமிழ் விழா வழமைபோல்) புதிய கதிரேசன் மண்டபத்தில் பல்வேறு அம்சங்களுடன் கோலாகல, மாக நடத்தப்பட்டது.
9. எஸ். செனாநாயக்கா வித்தியாலய தமிழ் மன்றம் கொழும்பு, பாடசாலைகளுக்கிடையில் ஒழுங்கு செய்த தமிழ் நாடகப் போட்டியில் எஸ். சிவரூபன் தயாரித்து, நெறிப்படுத்திய நாடகம் மூன்றாம் இடத் தைப் பெற்றது. அதில், எஸ். ஜெயப்பிரகாஷ் சிறந்த நடிகனாகத் தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்டார்.
சென்ற ஆண்டு ஆரம்பத்தில் தமிழ் இளைஞர் கலாச்சாரக் கூட் டமைப்பினால் மேல் மாகாணத் தமிழ் பாடசாலைகளுக்கிடையில் நடத்தப்பட்ட பொது அறிவு வினா-விடை போட்டியில் எமது பாடசாலை அணி வெற்றி பெற்று முதற் பரிசுக்கான வெற்றிக் கேடயத்தையும் ரூபா 500/- பணப் பரிசையும் பெற்றுக் கொண்டது

இலங்கைத் தமிழ் நாடகப் பேரவை நடத்திய நாடகப் பயிற்சிப் பட்டறையில் சில உறுப்பினர்கள் பங்கு பற்றி நாடகம் பற்றிய அனுபவங்களைப் பெற்றனர்.
இந்து மன்றம்
இம் மன்றம் நாளாந்த பூசைகளையும், முக்கியமான நாட்களில் சிறப்பான விசேட பூசைகளையும் ஒழுங்கு செய்து வருகின்றது. நவ ராத்திரி விழா பாடசாலை மட்டத்தில் மிகச் சிறப்பான முறையில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டு வருகின்றது. இத் தினங்களில் சிறப்புச் சொற் பொழிவுகளும் ஆற்றப்படுகின்றன.
பாடசாலை ரீதியில் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்ட சார்க் நாடுகள் பற்றிய கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் ஒன்றாக நேபாளத்தின் கல்ை கலாச் சார பாரம்பரியங்களைப் பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடாத் தப்பட்டன. - -

விஞ்ஞான மன்றம்:
இக் கல்லூரியின் விஞ்ஞான மன்றமானது மாணவர்களுடைய அறிவை விருத்தி செய்வதையும், விஞ்ஞான மனப்பாங்கைத் தூண்டு வதையும் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு, ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இது மாணவர் களின் நாட்டமுள்ள துறைகளின் சிறப்பான திறன்களை விருத்தி செய்வதற்கான வழி வகைகளையும், வாய்ப்பையும் உண்டாக்குகின் றது. பாடசாலை மட்டத்தில் நடைபெற்ற சார்க் நாடுகள் பற்றிய கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகளின் ஓர் அம்சமாக இலங்கை பற்றிய கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகளையும், கண்காட்சிகளையும் விஞ்ஞான மன்றம் ஒழுங்கு செய்தது.

பாடசாலை மட்டத்தில் இடம் பெற்ற சார்க் நாடுகள் பற்றிய கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகளுள் ஒன்றான "பூட்டான் நாடு பற்றிய கலை கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகள் இம் மன்றத்தினால் நடத்தப்பட்டது.
பொதுநலவாய மன்றம்:
பொதுநலவாய நாடுகளைப் பற்றிய விபரங்களைப் பிரபல்யப் படுத்துவதற்காக மாணவர்களிடையே பொதுநலவாய நாடுகள் தினத்தை குறிக்கும் முகமாகக் பல்வேறுபட்ட போட்டிகள் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்டன.
ஓவிய மன்றம்:
இம் மன்றம் வெவ்வேறு மட்டங்களில் சித்திரப் போட்டிகளை ஒழுங்கு செய்து ஒவியத் திறனை மாணவர்களிடையே வளர்த்து வருகின்றது.
உயர்தர மாணவர் மன்றம்:
உயர்தர மாணவர்களிடையே ஒற்றுமையும், புரிந்துணர்வையும் ஏற்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டு ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்ட இம்- மன் றம் இளம் மாணவர்களுக்குப் பல்வேறு துறைகளில் வழிகாட்டியாக அமைந்துள்ளது. பாடசாலை ரீதியில் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்ட சார்க் நாடுகள் பற்றிய கலாச்சார நிகழ்ச்சிகளுள் ஒன்றாகப் பாக்கிஸ்தான் நாட்டின் கலை கலாச்சார பாரம்பரியத்தைப் பிரதிபலிக்கும் வகையில் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடத்தப்பட்டன.

இம் மன்றம் பாடசாலை மாணவர்களுக்கான கணணி வகுப்பு களை ஒழுங்கு செய்து வருகின்றது.

இன்டரக்ட் கழகம்
இக் கழகம் கொழும்பு மத்திய ரோட்டரிக் கழகத்தின் அனுசர ணையுடன் 1962 ம் ஆண்டு ஆரம்பித்து வைக்கப்பட்டது. இக் கழகம் அமைந்துள்ள பாடசாலை, சமூகம் ஆகியவற்றுக்குத் தேவையான நேரத்தில் உதவி செய்வதற்கான நோக்கங்களைக் கொண்டது.
இக் கழகம் சிரமதான முறையில் பாடசாலை சுற்றாடலைச் சுத்தம் செய்தது. டி. எஸ். சேனாநாயக்கா வித்தியாலய இண்டரக்கட் கழகத்துடன் இணைந்த செயற்றிட்டங்களில் ஒன்றாக S.S.C மைதா னத்தில்கிரிக்கெட் விளையாட்டை நடத்தியது. இறுதியாக நடை பெற்ற மாவட்டக் கூட்டத்தில் இக்கழகம் பங்குபற்றியது. 1991 நவெம்பர் மாதம் 10 ம் திகதி நடைபெற்ற சமாதானப் பாத யாத்திரையில் பங்குபற்றியது.
சாரணர் இயக்கம்.
grr graorri இயக்கம் 1977 ம் ஆண்டு ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டு, மிகவும் நல்ல முறையாக இயங்கி வருகின்றது. ஒவ்வொரு ஞாயிறு காலை யிலும், சாரண குருளைச் சாரணர் தலைவர்களினால் கூட்டங்கள் ஒழுங்காக நடத்தப்பெற்று வருகின்றன. 1991 ம் ஆண்டிலே சாரண அங்கத்தவர்கள் கொழும்பு நூதனகாட்சிச்சாலை, மிருகக்காட்சிச்சாலை என்பவற்றைப் பார்வையிடச் சென்றனர். கொழும்பு மாவட்ட சாரணர் இயக்கத்தினால் ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்ட கம்போரி, ஜம்போ ரியின்-எயர் நிகழ்ச்சிகள், புதிதாகச் சேர்ந்த அங்கத்தவர்களுக்கான பயிற்சி முகாம், பண்டாரவளையில் நடைபெற்ற இணைந்த பயிற்சி, முகாம், றாகமைவரையிலான துவிச்சக்கர வண்டிப் பிரயாணம்,வேலை வாரம் என்பவற்றிலும் பங்குபற்றினர். சாரணர் இயக்கத்துக்குப் பழைய மாணவரான திரு. எஸ். புவன், திரு. கே. அமிர்தன் ஆகியோர் பொறுப்பாக உள்ளனர்.

எமது மேற்கத்திய பாண்ட் வாத்தியக் குழு கனிஷ்ட பிரிவாகவும், சிரேஷ்ட பிரிவாகவும் இயங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றது. ஆரம்பப் பிரிவுக்

நாற்பது ஆண்டு நிறைவு விழாப் போட்டிகள்:
29.01.1991 அன்று வித்தக விநாயகர் ஆலய வழிபாட்டுடன் நாற்பதாம் ஆண்டு நிறைவு விழா ஆரம்பமாகியது. பாடசாலை நலன் விரும்பிகளால் நாற்பது விளக்குகள் ஏற்றி வைக்கப்பட்டன. கல்வி இராஜாங்க அமைச்சர் மாண்புமிகு இராசமனோஹரி புலந் திரன் வருகை தந்து இவ்வைபவத்தைச் சிறப்பித்தார்.
நாற்பதாம் ஆண்டு நிறைவு விழாத் தொடர்பாகத் தமிழ், ஆங்கில மொழிகளில் பேச்சு, கட்டுரை, மனனம், தனிப்பாட்டு, குழுப் பாட்டு, கவிதை ஆக்கம், சிறுகதையாக்கம், விவாதம், ஓவியப் போட்டி கள் மாணவர்களுக்கிடையில் இல்ல ரீதியாக நடைபெற்றன. முதல் மூன்று இடங்களைப் பெற்ற மாணவர்களுக்குப் பரிசில்களும், சான் றிதழ்களும் வழங்கப்பட்டன. அத்துடன் கூடுதலான புள்ளிகளைப் பெற்ற வள்ளுவர் இல்லத்துக்கு வெற்றிக் கேடயமும் அடுத்துக் கூடுத லான புள்ளிகளைப் பெற்ற பாரதி இல்லத்துக்கு வெற்றிக் கிண்ணமும் வழங்கப்பட்டது.
கல்விச் சுற்றுலா
அறுபது மாணவர்களைக் கொண்ட சுற்றுலாக் குழு இரு ஆசிரியர் களையும், இரு பெற்றோர்களையும் வழிகாட்டிகளாகக் கொண்டு, சிகிரியா, தம்புல்ல, தலதா மாளிகை, பேராதனைத் தாவரவியற் பூங்கா ஆகிய இடங்களுக்கு இரு தினங்கள் கல்விச் சுற்றுலாவை மேற்கொண்டது.
இருநூற்றி இருபது மாணவர்களைக் கொண்ட மற்றுமொரு கல்விச் சுற்றுலாக் குழுவினர் பன்னிரு ஆசிரியர்களின் உதவியுடன் விக்டோரியா அணைக்கட்டு, தலதா மாளிகை, பேராதனைத் தாவர வியற் பூங்கா ஆகிய இடங்களுக்கு ஒரு நாளில் சென்று நேரடி அனுபவங் களைப் பெற்று வந்தனர்.

பாடசாலைக் கோயிலின் சமய அனுஷ்டானங்கள்:
பாடசாலையில் அமைந்துள்ள வித்தக விநாயகர் ஆலயத்திற்கான அடிக்கல் 1987 ம் ஆண்டு நவெம்பர் மாதம் முதலாம் திகதி நாட்டப் பட்டது. கும்பாபிஷேகம் 1988 ம் ஆண்டு பெப்ரவரி மாதம் முதலாம் திகதி நடைபெற்றது. தினந்தோறும் மாணவர்கள் அனை வரும் ஒன்று திரண்டு பிரார்த்தனை செய்வதற்கும் வாய்ப்பு ஏற்பட் டுள்ளது. மாணவர்கள் சமயாசார விழாக்கள் பற்றிய அனுபவங்களை யும் இக் கோயிலின் மூலம் பெற்று, ஆன்மீக உயர்ச்சி பெறுகின்றனர்,
விளையாட்டுத் துறைகள்:
இப் பாடசாலையை அகதிகள் முகாமாகப் பயன்படுத்திய கார ணத்தால், விளையாட்டு மைதானம் மிகமோசமான நிலையில் பழு தடைந்திருந்தது. எனினும், கடின உழைப்பாலும், அயராத முயற்சியா லும் இந்த விளையாட்டு மைதானம் சீரமைக்கப்பட்டு, விளையாட் டுத் துறைக்கான நிலைக் களனாக விளங்குகின்றது.
உதைப்பந்தாட்டம் :
18 வயதுக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டோர், 16 வயதுக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டோர். 14 வயதுக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டோர், 12 வயதுக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டோர் அணிகள் 1991 ம் ஆண்டு அகில இலங்கை உதைப்பந்தாட்டப் போட்டியில் பங்குபற்றின. மாவட்ட மட்டத்தில் எல்லா நிலையிலும் பங்குபற்றியது மட்டுமின்றித் தேசிய மட்டத்திலும் பங்குபற்றினர். எங்கள் அணி தேசிய மட்ட நிலையில் மைலோ உதைப்பந்தாட்டப் போட்டியில் 1990 ம் ஆண்டு பங்குபற்றியது. 12 வயதுக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டோர் மேற்படி சுற்றுப் போட்டியில் இரண்டாவதாக வந்தனர். எமது அணியினைப் பழைய மாணவரான திரு. ஏ. சின்னத்தம்பி பயிற்று விக்கின்றார். மெய்வல்லுனர் போட்டிகள்:
வழமை போல இந்த ஆண்டு இல்ல விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளும் மெய்வல்லுனர் போட்டிகளும் ஆரம்ப, மேல் நிலைகளில் வெவ்வேறாக நடத்தப்பட்டன. இப்பாடசாலை கொழும்பு தமிழ் வட்டாரப் பாடசாலைகளுக்கிடையில் சாம்பியனாகத் திகழ்ந்தது.

ஹொக்கி:
கொழும்பு மாவட்டப் பாடசாலைகளின் ஹொக்கி சங்கத்தின ரால் நடத்தப்படும் பந்தயங்களில் பதின்மூன்று, பதினைந்து, பதினேழு பத்தொன்பது வயதுகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டோருக்கான குழுக்கள் பங்கு பற்றின. கண்டி, அஸ்கிரியா மைதானத்தில் நடைபெற்ற தேசிய பாடசாலைகளின் விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகளில் பத்தொன்பது வய துக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டோர் குழு பங்குபற்றியது. இந்த அணிகள் பழைய மாணவரான திரு. ஜி. திவாகரனால் இப்பாடசாலையிலே பயிற்று விக்கப்பட்டு வருகின்றன.
ஆசிரியர் குழம்
மேலே குறிப்பிட்ட நடவடிக்கைகளின் வெற்றிக்கு ஆசிரியர்களின் மனமுவந்த முயற்சியும், ஆதரவுமே காரணமாகும். கூடுதல் எண்ணிக் கையான பெற்றோர் தம் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு இந்துக் கல்லூரியில் அனுமதி பெறுவதற்கு முயற்சி எடுக்கிறார்கள். ஆசிரியர்கள். மேற் கொண்ட சிறந்த சேவைகளினால் இக் கல்லூரியில் அனுமதி பெறும் அவா வுடன் பெற்றோர் ஒவ்வொருவரும் உந்தப்படுகின்றனர்.
பதில் அதிபராகவும் உப அதிபராகவும் கடமையாற்றிய திருமதி வி. சுந்தரமூர்த்தி, திருமதிகள் எஸ். கணேசலிங்கம், பீ. இராஜ துரை, ஆர். தேவராஜா ஆகியோர் இக்கல்லூரியில் 10 வருடங் களுக்கு மேலாக அரும்பணியாற்றி இளைப்பாறியுள்ளார்கள். இக் காலத்தில் மேலும் எட்டு ஆசிரியர்கள் தமது சேவையிலிருந்து இளைப் பாறியுள்ளார்கள்.
பழைய மாணவர் சங்கம்:
இச் சங்கம் முதற் தடவையாகத் தமது கூட்டத்தை 1986 ம் ஆண்டு புரட்டாதி 28 ம் திகதியிற் கூடியது. இச் சங்கம் விளையாட்டுத் துறையை அபிவிருத்தி செய்யும் பல திட்டங்களை நடைமுறைப்படுத்தி யுள்ளது. .م
பெற்றோர், பழைய மாணவர், ஆசிரியர்கள், நலன் விரும்பிகள், திணைக்கள அமைச்சு அதிகாரிகள் அனைவரும் கல்லூரிக்கு எந்நேரத்தி லும் நல்கும் ஒத்துழைப்பு, கல்வித்துறையில் நாம் மேற்கொள்ளும் முயற்சிகளின் வெற்றிகளுக்கும் கல்விசார் முன்னேற்றங்களுக்கும் உறு துணையாக அமைந்துள்ளது.

பாடசாலை அபிவிருத்திச் சபை:
இச்சபை, பாடசாலையின் முன்னேற்றத்துக்கு உழைக்க உறுதி பூண்ட விசுவாசமுள்ள பெற்றோரை உள்ளடக்கியது. சிரமமானது என முதலில் நான் நினைத்த செயல்களை அவர்களது ஒத்துழைப்பு திறம்பட நிறைவேற்ற வைத்தது. அவர்களது ஆக்கபூர்வமான ஆலோசனைகளுக்கும் ஒத்துழைப்புகளுக்கும், பங்களிப்புகளுக்கும் எனது நன்றியை இச் சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் தெரிவித்துக்கொள்ள விரும்பு கின்றேன்.
இக் கல்லூரி 1964 ம் ஆண்டு தொடக்கம் அரசாங்கப் பாட சாலையாக்கப்பட்ட போதும் அனேகமான பாடசாலைக் கட்டடங்கள், பார்வையாளர் அரங்கு, ஆலயம் என்பன பாடசாலை அபிவிருத்திச் சபையினர், நலன் விரும்பிகள், பெற்றோர் ஆகியோரின் முயற்சியால் அமைக்கப்பட்டன.
பாடசாலை அபிவிருத்திச் சபை, மாணவர்கள், ஆசிரியர்கள், பழைய மாணவர்கள் ஆகியோரின் ஒத்துழைப்புடன் கூட்டுறவுச் சங் கம் தாபிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. பாடசாலைச் சிற்றுண்டிச்சாலை நிர்வாக த்தைக் கூட்டுறவுச் சங்கம் பொறுப்பேற்று நடாத்தி வருகின்றது. ஹியுமெடிகா நிறுவனத்தின் (ஜேர்மனி) உதவியுடன் பாடசாலை அபி விருத்திச் சபையினரால் மாணவர் நலன் கருதிப் பல் சிகிச்சை நிலையம் ஒன்று கல்லூரியில் அமைக்கப்பட்டது.

The Principal's Report at The Annul Prize Giving OF THE HINDU COLLEGE, COLOMBO - 03.03.92
Your Excellency,
Hon. State Minister for Eduction, Ladies & Gentlemen, ༤,
It is my privilege and pleasant duty to welcome Your Excellency on behalf of the Students, Teachers, Old Boys and Well Wishers of Hindu College, Colombo on the occasion of our prize giving.
Your Excellency, we are indeed honoured and privileged to have you with us today to grace the occasion. The Prize Giving is the most important annual function of a school. As far as our school is concerned this prize giving is of paramount importance, as the school has completed the 40th year on the llth of February, 1991 and the school has been upgraded to the status of National School Level with effect from llth of September, 1991.
Honourable Ranasinghe Premadasa, your gracious presence is a source of encourgement to us and I am sure that the students will be delighted to receive their prizes from you.
Honourable State Minister for Education Mrs. R. M. Pulendran, I wish to extend my warm welcome to you on this occasion. You have been taking a keen interest in the development of the school since you assumed the office of the Ministry of State for Education.
Chronicle:
This school was started on the 12th of February, 1951 under the name "Pillayar Padasalai' as a Primary School. The foundation stone was laid by then Hon. Prime Minister Sir John Kotalawala for the proposed Colombo Hindu College at Ratmalana on the 2nd of May, 1953. Classes above 5th standard were transferred to Hindu College, Ratmalana whilst the Primary School continued to function here. ኁ

The State took over the school on the 15th of April, 1964. Former Senator Mr. T. Neethirajah laid the foundation stone for the first threestoreyed block on the 3rd of March, 1966. on the 1st of January, 1967 the school was named as "Hindu Junior School, Bambalapitiya and classes with Grade 6 were commenced. Mr. l. M. R. A. Irriyagolla the then Hon. Minister of Education declared open the new three-storeyed block on the 19th of November, 1967.
The first prize giving of the Hindu Junior School was held with the then Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Dudly Senanayake as the Chief Guest on the 28th of March, 1969. On the 14th of September, 1973 Dr. Al Haj Badiud in Mahmud the then Hon. Minister of Education declared open the second three-storeyed block of classrooms. On the first of January, 1976 the G.C.E. Advanced Level Classes were started and the name of the school was changed to Hindu College, Colombo.
The foundation stone for the Administrative Block was laid by ܝ Mr. K. Gunaratnam. The Silver Jubilee Block-the third three-storeyed building was declared open by the then Hon. Prime Minister Mrs. Srimavo Bandaranayake on the 31st of May, 1976. On the 17th of January, 1979 the then Hon. President J. R. Jayawardene declared open the fourth three-storeyed block. His Excellency the president R. Premadasa when he was the Prime Minister declared open the New Administrative Block on the 6th of February, 1981. The assembly hall was declared open on the 11th of July, 1983. The former Hon. Minister for Regional Development, Hindin Religious and Hindu Cultural Affairs Mr. C. Rajadurai declared open the Pavilion on the 20th of May, 1987. On the 1st of February, 1988 the Kumbabishekam of "Withthaga Vinayagar Temple' at this school took place with a special religious ceremony. The Hon. State Minister for Education Mrs. R. M. Pulendran declared open the new building of classrooms on the 14th of June, 1991.
Educational Activities:
The number of students on roll is 3,150 and the total strength of the staff is 107 including the Displaced teachers and students from North
and East.

Year 5 Scholarship Examination:
According to the results of 1991 of the above mentioned examination Mas. Thuraisingam Kajan scored 196 marks and was placed second in the list n the All Island Level and was placed first in the Western Province. I like to stress that 65 students passed in this examination from our school.
G.C.E. (O-L) Results in December, 1990:
According to the results of this examination it is clear that our school has fared well. Mas. B. D. Chandraraj, Mas. S. Selvaratinarajah and Mas. L. Gowrikanthan got 7 Disinc, i Jins. Six stude...ts obtained 6 Distinctions and another Six students received 5 Distinctions.
G.C.E. (O-L) December, 1990 Results Analysis:
Maths -70.5 س% Religion -83.3% Science - 70.5% English -87.6% Art - 70.5% Tamil -89.7% Social Studies -83.5% Agriculture - 100% Commerce -83.5%
On the basis of the results of this examination 59.5% qualified to follow G.C.E. Advanced Level
Scholarship for the students who got the best performance in the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination-Visvalingam Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the stude ts who obtained the best results in the G.C.E. (O.L.) Examinations. Visvalingam Memorial Scholarship is given from the Visvalingam Memorial Scholarship Fund established and administered by the school Development Society. In addition to this two other scholarships in the names of Muthuthamby Swaminathan and Murugesu Swaminathan are being awarded to the students who obtained good results in the G.C.E. (O-L) Examinations. Two of these scholarships are donated by Mr. & Mrs. Sivanathan. The fourth Scholarship is being given by Mr. S. Sivarasa.
G.C.E. (A-L) Results, 1991:
The results of this examination reveal the standard of Education of this school. Mas. S. Niranjanan, Mas.. G. Umanesan, Mas.. K. Gugaatdshan and Mas. S. Shankar obtained 4 'A's in this examination.

655 students from year 3 to year 11 appeared for the above mentioned examination conducted by Vivekanda Society and following are the performances of our students:-

Aesthetic Classes:
The Aesthetic Unit of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education is conducting classes for the students in Music, Dance, Art, Drama and Lietrary Appreciation every Saturdays. Our students are making the maximum use of these classes.
The Special Achievements of our Students:
Three students participated in the All Island Tamil Day celebrations held in Colombo in 1991 and all the three participants were placed firs) and were awarded Gold Medal.

Mas. G. Umanesan who has come within first four in the G.C.E.(A-L) examination held in August, 1991 had been called to the Presidential Secretariat on the 22nd February, 1992 for the felicitation ceremony.
Eelathu Thiruneri Thamil Mantram:
Mas. N. Saravanan who participated in the Lower Division on Thiruneri Hymns Competition was placed first and awarded Gold Medal and Mas. S. Vidyasankar was placed second in the same contest. Mas. M. Srivathsa Sarma obtained the consolation award in the Upper Division of the same contest,
Mas P. J. Prakash participated in the Dulux (Do You Know) Contest, 1991-All Island School Quiz T.V. Contest anci was placed third in the preliminary round. He participated in the Quiz (SAARC & SAF GAMES) programme and was awarded a certificate by I.T.N.
Tamil Union:
The main activity organised by this Union was the Inter Classes Contests for Oration, Essay Writing, Poem Recitation and Drama. Our team participated in various General Knowle.gc Quiz Competitions in 1991. It won the shield for the first prize and cash prize of Rs. 1,500 - in the Competitions for the Tamil Schools of Western Province conducted by the Tamil Youth Cultural Association. Mas. S. Jayapragash won the first prize at the Intermediate Level in the Oratorical Contest organised by the Tamil Union of Royal College. Mas. P. J. Prakash won the first prize at the General Knowlege Quiz Competitions for the schools in Colombo conducted by the Tamil Union of Issipathana vidyalaya.
A cultural programme of India was conducted during the SAARC
Cultural Programme at the school level. Muthtamil Vizha wss celebrated on a grand scale at New Kathiresan Hall with various cultural items.

Hindu Union:
The Hindu Union organised poojas and special poojas on days of religious significance. The Navarathiri Festival was celebrated on a grand scale during which time special religious lectures on various topics were held. This Union organised programmes depicting the culture of Nepal during the SAARC cultural programme at the school level.
English Union:
This Union conducted a programme on Republic of Bangaladesh during the SAARC cultural programme held at the school level. An English drama was staged at the school level. Competitions were organised in Short Story writing and Oratorical contests.
Science Union:
The Science Union was inaugurated in order to promote a Scientific turn of mind among students. Mas. S. Mathu and Mas. Y. Jegan pauticipated in the written examination of the Quiz contest organised by the Institute of Chemistry and placed within first ten and were awarded certificates. The Union provided an opportunity to develop skills in the fields in which the students are interested. It has successfully organised a cultural programme abolt Shri Lanka and an exhibition on Shri Lanka during the SAARC cultural programme organised at school level in 1991.
Commerce Union:
A cultural programme on the Kingdom of Bhutan was organised during the SAARC cultural programme at the school level.
Commonwealth Association:
Every year the commonwealth day is celebrated with various forms
of competitions with the intention of creating an awareness of common
wealth of Nations among students.
Art Union:
This Union had Art contests among students at different age groups to promote the talents in various aspects of Art.

Advanced Level Union:
The main aim of this Union is to bring unity among advanced level students as well as to guide its younger students of this school. A cultural programme on Pakistan was conducted during the SAARC Summit 1991 at school level.
Computer Society:
The Computer Society is conducting classes for students of this school. The following classes are being held:-
Basic-Lotus 1, 2 & 3-Word Star
Interact Club :
The Interact Club of Hindu College was launched in 1962 sponsored by the Rotary Club of Colombo-Mid-Town with the aim of encouraging youth activities and designed to serve the school or community where it is based.
This Club cleaned the school premises on shramadana basis. As a joint project with the Interact Club of D. S. Senanayake Maha Vidiyalaya an Inter Club cricket match was held at S.S.C. grounds. This Club had been the host for the last district meeting. This Club participated in the Town Walk on the 10th November, 1991 organised as a “Walk for Peace' First Aid demonstration classes were held by this Club on week ends for the benefit of the students. This Club organised a programme depicting India during the SAARC Cultural programme organised at school in 1991.
Scouts and Cubs:
The Scout troop which was started in 1977 has maintained a good record all through out. The meetings of Cubs & Scouts are held regularly by cubs and scouts leaders in the College premises on every Sunday Morning During 1991 the cubpack visited Colombo Museum and the Zoological Gardens. The Scout troop and the Cub pack took part in the "Camporee' organised by the Colombo District Scouts Association.
The Scouts participated in various activities like 'Jambore-in Air, training camps for freshers, a joint camp at Bandarawela, a bicycle trip to Ragama and in other school functions. Mr. S. Bhuvan an old boy is in charge of scouts.

The Western Music Band:
The Western Music Band of our school consists of Junior Band and Senior Band. The Junior Band participated in the Inter House Sports Meet for primary school children. Both Junior Band and Senior Band participated in the sports meet for secondary school children. foundation stone laying ceremony, opening ceremony of Pulendran Building and in other school functions.
40th Anniversary Competitions:
40th Anniversary celebrations commenced on the 29th January, 1991 with “Maha Kumbabhisekam” for Sri Viththaga Vinayagar Temple. 40 oil lamps were lit by 40 well wishers of the school and Hon. Minister of State for Education Mrs. R. M. Pulendran also graced the occasion.
Inter House competitions among the students were held in connection with 40th Anniversary celebrations in the following items in English and Tamil Speech, Essay, Memorising Solo Song, Group Song, Poetry, Short Stories, Debate and Art. Prizes and certificates were awarded to the students who won the first three places. Valluvar House won the shield by scoring the highest points and Bharathy House won the challenge cup by scoring the Second highest points.
Educational Tours:
Our students, 60 in number visited Sigiriya, Dambulla, Daladamaligawa and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens with two teachers and two parents on a two day-educational tour. Another batch of 220 students with the guidance of 12 teachers visited Victoria Dam, Daladamaligawa and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens on a day-educational trip.
Religious Observations at the Temple:
The foundation stone for the Temple in school was laid on the 1st of November, 1987 and the consecration ceremony was held on the 1st of February, 1988. The students observe religious rituals daily on Fridays. All the students participate in the special ceremony. This temple serves as a nucleus to get an experience of all the Hindu ceremonies and rituals for the benefit of all students.

Sports:
The playground was badly damaged during the period when the
school was a refugee camp. It was repaired with great difficulty. Now the playground is being used for sports and games.
Soccer:
Teams Under 18, Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12 took part in the All-Island Soccer Tournament 1991. We not only presented teams under all categories at District Level but also at the National Level. Our team also took part in the Milo All Ceylon Football Tournament in 1990. Under 12 was the runner up in the above tournament. The teams are being coached by an old boy Mr. A. Sinnathamby.
Hockey:
Four teams Under 13. Under 15, Under 17 and Under 19 participated in the matches held by the Colombo District School Hockey Association. Under 19 team participated at the National Schools Sports Festival held at Asgiriya grounds in Kandy. The teams are bei 4 coached by an old boy Mr. G. Divakaran.
Athletics:
The Inter House Athletics Meets were conducted separately for Seniors and Juniors. Our school emerged champions at the Colombo South Tamil School Circuit Meet-1991.
Staff:
The success of the activities mentioned above was largely due to the whole-hearted Co-operation and support of the staff. Many parents clamour to seek admission to Hindu College, Colombo because of the good work that is being done by the staff. I would like to make special mention of the following teachers who have rendered more than ten years of their valuable services to this school:-

School Development Society:
The School Development Society comprises loyal and devoted parents who are determined to contribute their share for the upliftment of the school. If is their enthusiasm and encouragement that tempted me to embark on these new ventures of rebuilding the school which at first appeared well nigh impossible. I wish to thank them all for their sound advice, whole-hearted co-operation and active participation.
Although this school has been a government school since 1964 most of the buildings, the School Pavilion and the temple were all constructed by the School Development Society with the assistance of well wishers and Parents.
The School Development Society with the help of Students, Teachers and Old Boys established a Co-operative Society. The canteen at the school is also being run and managed by the Co-operative Society. The School Development Society has established a Dental Clinic with the assistance given by Hume ica Institution of Germany for the benefit of students of this school.
Old Boys Associaticn:
I also wish to thank the Old Boys Association which embarked on a programme to develop sports activities in the School.
The success of all our endeavours in the field of education, extracurricular activities and construction of buildings bears ample testimony to the co-operation extended to us at all times by the parents, old boys, teachers, well wishers and also the officials of the ministry and the deparment--to all of them I express a very sincere word of gratitude.
