Convenor of a sub-committee appointed by the University Teachers Association, which submitted a report to the Government on the re-organization of Universities in 1974.
Prepared the memorandum on the Universities submitted by senior teachers in the University system to the Government in 1995.
As Vice-Chairman, University Grants Commission monitored the administration of the Affiliated University Colleges, eleven in all, which were then in turmoil. On appointment by the Minister of Education and Higher Education in 1995, prepared a report on the Affiliated University Colleges. Recommended the abolition of these colleges and the establishment of two universities in place of the Affiliated University colleges. The recommendations were accepted and implemented by the cabinet of ministers.

04. As Chairman of the Standing Committee on Distance Education prepared a report on the re-organization of the External Examinations in the universities, which required urgent attention.
05. Had the responsibility of managing the General English Language Teaching Unit of the Grants Commission. When the progress was found to be satisfactory the programme was given over to the universities.

Reforms. 1996-1998.
